COVENTRY, RI — The town of Coventry is taking action against residents who don't recycle properly in their curbside cart. Starting this week, residents will see a notice of violation sticker on their cart if the contents are not in compliance with what is considered acceptable materials.
The stickers serve as a first official notification under the town's new recycling ordinance, which has a three-strike policy that could lead to a fine of $300 or up to 30 days in jail upon the third violation.
